Enrollment numbers • New Program • Registered NurseAssociate’s in Applied Science Degree • Approved at July SD Board of Ed Meeting • January 2012 start 24 students • 116 inquiries, 89 applications for Jan 2012 • January 2013 start 32 students • Advisory Committees • No meetings during inservice week • Work with your supervisor to schedule date/time of fall and spring meetings

Program Name Change • Digital Media Production(formerly Animation) • Department Name Change • IT Support Center(formerly Help Desk) • Construction/remodeling • Technology Center • upper level paint, carpet and IT remodel • New Technology High being remodeled to occupy complete north half of building (enrollment 200 students this year) • Mickelson – renovation completed • Wood Center – construction will begin soon

Room Utilization/Training/Fees • Must be approved by Admin and Vicki Oswald • We encourage business and industry to use our facilities • Must be cleared by Admin-could be facility use fees • Must ensure that treatment of organizations is consistent • Fees for rooms vs. letting instructors come free • Must give all details to Admin and Vicki • Date, time, requested room, length of use, organization, who is doing training • Vicki must list events on Weekly Security Calendar for custodial and security staff

  11. Facebook Professional Site • Can have students on it • Do not have crossover between personal and professional • Examples: pictures from your past, last vacation • Protect yourself and the institution • Must be work related- pertain to class, program • Needs to be kept up

  12. Committee Sign Ups • A number of opportunities to share your ideas, suggestions and knowledge • Voluntary sign up • If you were on a committee last year, please sign up again if you would be willing to serve.

  17. Data Security with Computers Please limit information/files that contain student data. Be aware of items such as student ID numbers, addresses and phone numbers. Faculty should not have social security numbers for students on their computers at any time. There are very few staff on campus who should have or need student social security numbers.

  18. STInet Log In All students, staff and faculty will log in to STInet with their STI network username and password. This will be the same username and password that you use to log in to the STI network and your STI email account.

  19. Student Username and Password Structure Username: firstname.lastname Password: first letter of your first and last names, followed by the last four digits of your social security number Example: John Smith – SSN 999-99-1234 Username: john.smith Password: js1234

  20. Reimages All students, staff, and faculty will need to have their laptop reimaged by the end of the 2nd week of school. If not, you will lose your wireless network access until your machine is reimaged. Note: If you have received a new machine or are getting a different one this Fall, your reimage is or will be taken care of.

  22. Drop/Add The drop/add period ends at 4:00 p.m. on Sept 2. After that time, students must complete a withdraw form in the Student Success Center. Also, students must have instructor signature to add a class after this date. Students will be dropped from waitlists by Sept 9 Send any students to the Student Success Center who are attending class, but do not appear on your roster.

  23. Watch Your Calendars! Kristie Vortherms will send e-mail reminders regarding when grades open, etc. All of this information can be found on the STInet Calendar (Faculty Tab).

  25. Perkins 2011 - 2012 • Funding Level: $573,527 • E-mail was sent out with resources needed to get Perkins equipment ordered • Due to budget cuts from the state last year, we will be holding back $20,000 until later in the year

  28. Schedule Send a paper copy of your Outlook Calendar schedule to Carol in TC Office by Friday at noon. Include: Course number Course name Room number Office hours, lunch and prep time Team Meeting time

  29. Workload Forms Please complete the Workload Form using information found on the Xcel document you receive from Craig. Initial or sign the form and return to Carol in TC Office by Friday at noon. (form located on the STInet-Documents and Forms-Workload section)
