  1. 8-bit Timer/Counter2 with PWM <p. 144>

  2. Features •Single Channel Counter • Clear Timer on Compare Match (Auto Reload) • Phase Correct Pulse width Modulator (PWM) • Frequency Generator •External Event Counter • 10-bit Clock Prescaler • Overflow and Compare Match Interrupt Sources (TOV2 and OCF2) •Asynchronous operation is not supported

  3. Output Compare Modulator (OCM1C2) <p. 160>

  4. Overview • Output Compare Modulator (OCM) generates waveforms modulated with a carrier frequency. • OCM uses the outputs from the Output Compare Unit C (OC1C on p.110) of the 16-bit Timer/Counter1 and the Output Compare Unit of the 8-bit Timer/ Counter2 (OC2 on p.144) • When both OC1C and OC2 are enabled at the same time, the modulator is automatically enabled • When the modulator is enabled, the two output compare channels are modulated together

  5. [Ex] Timer/Counter2 provides the carrier, while the modulating signal is generated by the Output Compare unit C of the Timer/Counter1 AND OR
