Alexander Calder Timeline 1898 - Born on July 22nd in Lawton Pennsylvannia • - Calder presented his parents with his first sculpture of a tiny dog and duck made of brass sheets • - Graduated Stevens Institute of Technology with a engineering degree • - Achieves worldwide fame for “ Cirque Calder” 1932 -Calder shows his first mobiles in Paris • - Creates a Water Ballet with fourteen fountains for the New York’s World Fair 1976 -Calder dies on November 11th at the age of 78

Why I like Alexander Calder • Calder’s mobiles and stabiles are fascinating by combining bright color and metal materials • Calder’s paintings are very unique • He was painter, sculptor , he created things that moved and art that was both big and small. • He was very passionate not only for art but for anything he did.
