  3. Motivation/Justification:Labour Market Analysis – Detected Needs • In the years to come, there will be a rapid convergence of computer, communications and consumer electronics. There will also be a need for professionals who possess knowledge of computer networks, multimedia signal processing and electronics. This program primarily aims to produce master engineers who fulfil such a need by providing sufficient technical training to students for careers in the field of multimedia technologies. • Development of Service Market

  7. Motivation/Justification:Cooperation with the NES and SCC Both local offices of NES and SCC gave their agreement to the proposed conversion programme: Contact Persons: NES – Mr. Dragan Perić, Manager SCC – Mr. Srboljub Simonović, Vice President of Regional Chamber of Commerce - Niš

Learning Outcomes (I) • Acquiring basic knowledge of technologies such as graphics, compression technologies and multimedia databases • An overview of the basic technologies used in the deployment of multimedia systems. This includes a range of specific topics: audio and image processing, compression, information retrieval, recognition, principles of the transmission of multimedia information etc. • How the technologies work behind the scenes and how to use them to improve modern systems

Learning Outcomes (II) • A broad, high-level understanding of multimedia technologies rather than an in depth treatment of any individual topic • Good mix of basic theories, hands-on practice, application examples and art disciplines. • Combination of art and engineering disciplines will serve students to be capable to take part in different teams in realisation of complicated projects based on actual multimedia technologies. • Work-based learning is a key feature of programme. As final exam, students complete a project which involves them applying their skills to a real work environment.

Entering Requirements(I) • Ideal programme for university graduatesINTERESTING in using different media formats and technologies, separately or in combination, to deliver messages in the most suitable way to a wide range of audiences • Basic knowledge of computer science and informatics • Target body consists of university graduates from: • Faculty of Electronic Engineering • Faculty of Electrical Engineering • Faculty of Computer Sciences • Faculty of Informatics • Faculty of Technical Sciences

Entering Requirements (II) • Who can apply? • Graduated students with 240 ECTS or more; • Graduated students with VII level of high education. • All candidates must have previous gained education in the fields of technical sciences, natural sciences, mathematics or in the fields which are in direct or indirect relation with multimedia. 11/29
