  9. Qu5: Comments/feedback • I suspect many parents do not take the time to share their views! • No because it represents those that are interested in being INVOLVED in the school but there are others who have opinions/views but do not voice them by getting in touch with parent council or attending meetings for whatever reason • Not many parents follow what goes on in PC and there is not enough feedback from the parent forum. PCs need to work hard to communicate aims and approaches to all parents and carers. • They don't have any communication with other parents, so how can they represent us? • Simply because lack of parent becoming involved. • Not sure

  10. Qu6: From time to time the Parent Council may need to gain parents/carers views on issues regarding the school. Are you happy to be contacted via the school (i.e. text, email or letter)? If not, please can you let the school office know that you do not wish to be contacted by the Parent Council by emailing schoolmail@woodfarm.e-renfrew.sch.uk or calling 0141 577 2600. • 100% - Yes (21) • Skipped this question (2)

Each hamper could be food/drinks from a different country eg Scottish, Italian, Indian • I try to support all of your fundraising activities

  13. Qu9: Would you be happy for some of the funds raised to be passed on to the school to subsidise coach travel for out of school activities? • 95.65% - Yes (22) • 4.35%- No (1) Comments/feedback • If the school does not have budget for all the new text books required for the new national 4 and national 5 courses funds should be made available for this.

It could highlight the work carried out by the parent council and inform parents of ongoing issues • I was unable to fill in number 4 and 6 of the survey...

  15. Summary The majority of the Parent Forum: • think the most important duty is to organise social and fundraising events • would know how to contact the PC if they needed to • believe the PC is representative of the views of the wider PF • are happy to be contacted via the school for their views • are happy for some of the PC funds raised to be used to subsidise coach travel

  16. Summary However, the majority of the Parent Forum: • have never had a reason to contact the PC • have never visited the PC pages on the school website • feel that discussing anything that is of interest to parents/carers is least important • didn’t have any suggestions for fundraising activities they would be happy to support

  17. Ideas to consider moving forward • How can we improve feedback and communicate aims/ approaches to all parents and carers? • How can we ensure the PF know how to contact the PC? • How can we encourage better use of the PC website pages? • How can we get a higher response to future surveys? • Should we introduce new fundraising ideas? • Should we introduce a PC newsletter?
