  2. What Is Spikeball? Spikeball is a indoor or outdoor paired sport developed in 1989 by Jeff Knurek in the United States of America. The sport was created to ensure people of all shapes, sizes, genders, cultures and backgrounds could play together

  3. Equipment Needed • Spike balls. • Trampoline like nets with a 12inch circumference. • Court markings. However, cones are perfect for a starting point. • Bibs. A range of colours. (2 per team).

  4. The Court The court has no direct size, However, before every point is started, the players must start as the diagram states.

  5. RULES OF SPIKEBALL Each team consists of two players. Rock, paper, scissors to decide who serves first. The server must be 6 feet away from the net along with any other players involved in the game except the returner. The object of the game is to hit the ball into the net, so the opposing team can not return the ball. Once the ball has been served the players can move where ever they want. Each team has 3 hits per possession but they do not have to use all three hits.

  6. RULES OF SPIKEBALL The rally continues until the ball is not returned properly. Each team must hit the ball onto the net after two hits. The rally must be hit alternatively between team players. It can not be caught or thrown, or hit with two hands. You can however hit the ball with any part of the body. The winning team is first to 21 points, however a team must win by 2 points. The points are score when the ball hits the ground, hits the rim or bounces twice on the net.

  7. What To Think About – Games4Learning • Scheme Of Work Plan • Hitting and rallying • Serving technique • Reaction hitting • Angles of ball trajectory • GAMES GAMESGAMES
