  2. Senior Advising: Spring 2015 • Individual Appointments combined with unofficial grad-check • Sign-up for a 15 min. appointment • Please be prompt! • Update Graduation Requirement Form prior to appointment • Watch the Senior Power Point prior to appointment

  3. Please Note! • The following courses must be completed Prior to final student teaching (EDEL 454): • EDEL 350 or EDRD 319 ART 444 • EDEL 450 MUS 305 • PSY 347 SES 403 • EDF 370 ET 247 & 347 • EDSE 430 SCED 475 • TESL 370 or TESL 400 EDEL 445 • CH 303 EDEL 446

  4. Course Information TESL 380 Prerequisites: TESL 350 for ESL concentration Or TESL 370 for Language Arts concentration SCED 375 • Please click on the CRN # To select the correct Lab

  5. EDEL 450 • Students who’ve completed EDRD 319 And EDEL 350  Take EDEL 450 (4 cr.) • At your individual 15 min. advising appointment/unofficial Grad Check you will sign a clipboard so that this information will be shared with the Registrar’s Office • Students who’ve taken EDRD 319 OR EDEL 350  Take EDEL 450 (6 cr.) and EDEL 421 (I cr.)

  6. ESL Information • ESL concentration requires: • Documentation of foreign language background • Contact: elizabeth. franklin@unco.edu • Take PLACE Test for ESL Endorsement after TESL 401 • Student Teaching - must be in an ESL-based school

  7. Grade Replacement • Complete form prior to semester’s drop deadline • Form is available on Registrar’s website • Information  www.unco.edu/registrar • Forms link • Contact Financial Aid regarding guidelines • Grade Replacement does affect COF Stipend

  8. PRAXIS II Scores • Print your PRAXIS II scores immediately • Score availability expires • Or documentation from CDEhttps://edx.cde.state.co.us/PublicEducatorSearch/DOBSearch.jsp • Student teaching placement requires proof of a passing PRAXIS II score

EDFE 130 Registration • Registration for EDFE 130: • Semester prior to the Student Teaching • Register for the section that lists Margo Barnhart/Lynette Kerrigan as the instructors • Attend one mandatory meeting • Even if you do not presently have the required GPA (3.0) please register for this course

  10. Student Teaching • Please read Student Teaching Information and Policies http://www.unco.edu/teach/st.html • No other courses can be taken during student teaching • Required 3.0 Cumulative GPA for placement • Placement request for Student Teaching is on Blackboard through EDFE 130

Apply for Graduation!! • Please note graduation procedure ! • Call 970-351-2231, (option 3) http://www.unco.edu/regrec/Current%20Students/Graduation/Application.html • Via Bear email you will receive confirmation the Registrar received your application • Within 5 to 10 business days you’ll receive an email showing any outstanding graduation requirements • See ELED advisor regarding any questions/concerns

  12. ELED Exit Survey • Students in EDFE 130 • You will receive an email with a link to the ISET Exit Survey • Print the “Thank You” page to document survey completion • Bring this to your individual 15-min. advising/unofficial Grad Check appointment

  13. How to get your PIN • Attend your individual 15-min. Advising/unofficial Grad Check appointment • Peel off name label (alphabetical by last name) • Go to ELED website www.unco.edu/eled • News and Events  ELED Group Advising Survey • Use PASSCODE from name label • Take ELED Group Advising survey • Submit • Write down PIN • Register on designated date (check on URSA)

  14. Interim Registration • Registration for Interim 2014 begins October 6th • No PIN required • If applicable please check with Financial Aid regarding funding
