  2. Dates to Remember • Feb. 10- Honors Applications due • Feb. 11- Re-enrollment contracts & deposits due (Admissions Office) • Feb. 11 (approx)- Academic Program Guide online • Feb. 25- Online registration window opens, 4 pm • Mar. 5- Online registration window closes, 8:30 am

  3. Academic Program Guides • Academic policies & procedures (including course change) • Course descriptions • Prerequisites & grade levels included • Info. on how to access NetClassroom for registration instructions

  4. Re-enrollment Contracts & Deposits • Due Feb. 11 to Admissions Office • If late or missing, cannot guarantee seniority in elective scheduling or consideration for honors courses

  5. Honors Applications • For those entering grades 7-8 • Honors Math ONLY available honors class in Middle School • Application sent to GOPA e-mail acocunt • Fill out the form electronically, get grade information from NetC • Standardized test results- this was sent home or ask in school office • Due 2/11 by 4pm –submitted online • Results? End of Feb., in NetClassroom with your other course requests (enrolled by registration staff)

  6. Online Registration • Open Feb. 25 - Mar. 5 • Login as STUDENT (yourself) • Instructions under “Additional Links” • Students will not request math (auto enrollment) • Request Language (current 7th grade) & elective (current 5th-7th) • FIRST choice only

  7. Walk through Registration • http://www.providenceacademy.org • “Log in” in upper right hand corner • Select NetClassroom • Log in as YOU (student) • Schedule (register for classes) • Select Courses • Submit • Screen with credit totals- ignore these numbers! • Log Out

Course Offerings • Full-Year Electives: Concert Band, Middle-School Chorus & Speech-Drama (1 sem each), String Ensemble, Music Appreciation & 2D-Art • Choice of 2 Electives (2x per week, 1 sem each): Study Hall, Athletics, History through Film & Movie Making (all for 6-8), Woodshop (7-8) • See Academic Program Guide for grade level requirements and prerequisites (some have changed!) • Questions directed to Mrs. Semsch • E-mail is BEST emily.semsch@providenceacademy.org

  9. Language Choice for current 7th graders entering 8th grade • Presentation to students during White Period on Tues. Feb. 18 • French I, Latin I, Latin II, Spanish I • Deferral/waiver • PA’s general recommendation is to take a langauge in 8th grade.

  10. What happens next? • Requests are used for staffing and master schedule creation (ongoing) • Course requests mailed home this spring • Parent approval assumed, at this time, parents can contact Mrs. Semsch with changes if necessary.

  11. What happens next (cont’d) • Course repeats are communicated to counselor/Academic Dean (math & language) • Course change requests: up to 2nd day of school next year • $50 fee! • Discouraged!
