Conclusions • Good evidence that ENP provides a significant moderation to the rate of property crime, though evidence not clear in some areas • Effectiveness of security cameras can vary with vigilance of camera monitors, number of neighborhood entrances • Neither strategy is a “silver bullet” against crime, but either can be an effective tool • There is no substitute for an actively involved and mobilized neighborhood
