Lt Col Armando Gonzalez is a distinguished Military Officer having many years of experience. He began his career as an enlisted Marine and served as an Assistant Logistics Officer at Expeditionary Strike Group in CA. • He expedited cargo flow and facilitated logistical support for operations and exercises in Iraq Theatre. • He also coordinated the movement of over 1200 personnel, 30k pounds of cargo to/from objective areas in 4 different countries. • He served as the primary advisor to the Naval Commander on Marine logistics and for all Marine specific support.
Later Lt Col Armando Gonzalez served as the Operations Officer at Marine Wing Support Squadron 373, where he provided staff oversight in order to ensure the unit’s personnel were trained for deployment. He focused his efforts on ensuring personnel understood all sub functions of ground support logistics that included - • Areas of motor and transport, • Engineering and food services, • Communications and heavy equipment support • Security and law enforcement • Refueling, fire and rescue.
After that, he served as the Executive Officer at Marine Wing Support Squadron 373. • As executive officer, he led his staff in coordinating and integrating all staff planning for logistical and aviation ground support. • Later, he was deployed to Afghanistan where he served as a key player in several airfield modification construction projects there.
When Lt Col Armando Gonzalez is not busy, he likes to spend some quality time with his family. He also pursues his time in some of the hobbies: reading books, running, and is an avid golf player.
