Action Items from last meeting • Bob and Tom determine a solution to clearing the upper section of borehole • All meet 9am, Jan 24th at Schlumberger • Peter P inform LDEO and MORH of ERS/MFTM Bench Test date and get confirmation that this works with their schedules (March 15) • Bob ask Schlumberger to do “rig instrumentation” for all upcoming tests • Tom send deployment plan out to group Monday Jan 9th • Tom and Peter P. combine technical manuals during Jan 6th meeting • Complete manuals delivered end of February • Peter P. video of MDHDS assembly (to be completed at Schlumberger)

  3. Mitigating T2P damage risk at Schlumberger test T2P damage at previous bench test: • >25’ free fall dislodged battery, halting data recording. Changes made: • Battery compression spring – holds battery in place. • CDAQ strain relief – sheared 15-pin adapter more firmly affixed to CDAQ board. Proposed Drop Height: • On IODP deployment likely ‘free fall’ distance is ~3m. • At Schlumberger test drop height will be 10’ • Recreates similar deployed conditions • Use collar to limit fall
