  5. Pre-Algebra – What’s That? Pre-Algebra is the fundamental link between mathematics and algebra. It is the link between the concrete and the abstract. Learn to use the “language” of algebra. We begin with easier concepts (2x + 5 = 9) just like you would learn Spanish talking first about things we know – not nuclear physics – then about more complex.

  7. Algebra 1-2 – What’s That? One way to think of Algebra is using equations, with symbols, to solve real-world problems. Algebra 1-2 is a high school level course.

Classroom Materials, incl. copies per class $ 150 Additional Voluntary Donations for Student Materials: paper, notebooks, pencils, dry erase markers, scissors, rulers, glue sticks, tape, stickies, etc. are all appreciated.

  12. Other Math Information • Volunteers? YES! Especially if you can volunteer 1st or 3rd periods and want to work with a small group. • Updates? YES! Please email me with a subject line of “Period __ Student Name” to get onto distribution list. • Conferences? Maybe! I will ask for a conference for any “C” or below grade; AND we can conference if any of us feel the need. (Go to “Working Together”) Thank you!
