Content Images of the Biblical World is a historical collection of photo-graphies that show the development of bible-related locations since the 1950‘s: • Contains over 24,000 photographs from Bible-related places in the Mediterranean world • Including: Turkey, Italy, Egypt, Syria, The Holy Land, and many others • Pictures range from excavations to buildings and landscapes • Features a wide range of realia, including plants, animals, scenes from daily life, coins, and details from objects of sacred art

Content • Images were compiled by BenediktSchwankOSB • Many photographs document historical settings of excavation sites and buildings which no longer exist today • All images are indexed by description, place, date of photography, and geographical index • Some pictures are accompanied by additionalinformationexpanding on the visual
