  5. Motivation • Statistics management is: • Complex • Resource consuming • Time consuming • Subject to errors due to manual handling

  6. JURO4C The solution

  7. Main Features • Administration – Institution, institution types and users management • Data Management • Data import – Collects vendors data • Consolidation – Processes vendors data • Reporting • Support for consortia • Interoperability – Interoperates with SUSHI compliant vendors

  8. Beneficts • Simpler (more standardised) • Less operator dependency • More reliable • Reduce consortium operations time • Public interface (self-service for community) • Enhanced reporting (easier to make reports) • Offer a better service to the community • Based on OpenSource software

  9. Limitations • Basic validation process • Supports only journals

  11. Requirements • Software Requirements • Hardware requirements (minimum) • 1 dual core processor at 2.8 Ghz. • 1GB of memory • Disc space (depends on #institutions, #providers)

  14. Future work I • Improve user experience (menus, feedback messages, table sorting/ordering/grouping, graphs) • Introduce support for COUNTER 3 consortium report • Make available more reports • Interfaces localization

  15. Future work II • Follow the developments on: • Protocols (SUSHI, COUNTER) • Tools ERMS • Press publishers to be SUSHI and COUNTER3 compliant (all) • Colaboration?
