  4. Single v. Multi-attribute • Green products/single attribute include: -- Biobased -- Energy or water efficient -- Recycled -- SNAP – non-ODS • Environmentally preferable (can be either) -- EPEAT-registered -- Paint – low/no VOC and/or recycled -- Biobased & non-toxic

  5. Who designates & issues guidance? • EPA: recycled, ENERGY STAR, WaterSense, SNAP • DOE: ENERGY STAR, FEMP- designated energy efficient (GHG, fleet, renewables) • USDA: Biobased • CEQ/OMB: Review regulations and guidance before issuance

  6. OMB Scorecard Greenon Green purchasing requires: • APP/GPP – formal written policy/all areas • Proof of Representative Acquisitions Current Sample Contracts (12) • Monitoring & teview (Quarterly) Corrective Action Plans • Annual reporting & dcorecard updates • Awareness training

EO 13514 Sec. 2 (h) • Advance sustainable acquisition to ensure that 95% of new contract actions including task and delivery orders for products and services are energy- efficient, water efficient, biobased, environmentally preferable, non-ozone depleting, contain recycled content or are non-toxic or less-toxic alternatives where such products meet performance requirements.
