  2. Leap Frog Review • Benefits of this review game: • The teacher has immediate assessment of all students in the class when they simultaneously respond to questions. • All students are engaged! • The student sees the teacher work the problem correctly before seeing the next problem. • The student has motivation to win the game. • The review proceeds in a timely manner because the teacher determines the appropriate amount of time needed to respond to the question. Tip for the teacher when making the game. Be sure to pick questions that vary in difficulty. If the questions are too difficult, the students get frustrated because they are not moving. If the questions are too easy, the game is over too quickly.

  3. There must be at least one empty seat. Leap Frog Review Leap Frog Directions • Each student is given five cards with one letter on each card. The letters are: A, B, C, D, and E. Students hold these cards facing themselves protecting the privacy of their choice. • A problem is presented on the PowerPoint Slide. The student selects their response and puts it on the top of the stack facing them. The teacher determines the appropriate amount of time to answer the question and then says, “one, two, three, show me”. The students simultaneously show their choice by turning the stack of cards, with the answer on the front, towards the teacher. • If the student has the correct answer, he rotates forward (unless he is in the first seat of the row and then he moves to the last seat of the next row). If a person does not have the correct answer they remain in their seat. The student with the correct answer would go around any students with an incorrect answer. • The object of the game is to travel around the room and the first person to reach their original seat is the winner. • The teacher works the problem for all to see, identifying any misunderstandings, before proceeding to the next problem.
