  1. YOU ARE WATCHING WELCOME CLASS OF 2018

  2. ATTENDANCE • 11 or more unexcused absences from school or any class you will be placed on No Credit Status. • No Credit Status makes you ineligible for all sports and activities. This includes Prom, dances, pep rallies, nerfball tournament, volleyball marathon, Mr. EHT, and various other events throughout the school year. • Students who are placed on No Credit Status may regain credit by attending Credit Completion. • Credit Completion will be offered during the school year.

  3. ATTENDANCE • Family vacations are not excused! • Review your handbook for the Attendance Policies and Procedures

  4. LATE TO SCHOOL • Students must sign in at the main office upon arrival after the 1st Block late bell rings (7:35 am). • Parent/Guardian notes will NOT BE accepted for lateness. • Students that arrive after homeroom will not receive credit for the school day. • Discipline will be issued for excessive lateness.

  5. DRUGS AND ALCOHOL • Students are not permitted to use, possess, and/or sell controlled dangerous substances (CDS). • This includes alcohol, over the counter medication, prescription medication, and all illegal drugs including steroids. • Students who use, possess, distribute and/or sell CDS will be suspended, arrested, and lose privileges.

  6. DRUGS AND ALCOHOL • Students who are required to take over the counter medication during the school day must bring the medication in the original container along with the doctor’s order and a parent’s note to the Nurse’s Office. Students who violate this code will be disciplined accordingly.

  7. TOBACCO and TOBACCO PRODUCTS • Smoking and tobacco products (including but not limited to cigarettes, E-cigarettes, Hooka pens, snuff, chewing tobacco, matches, lighters) are prohibited on all school grounds, buses, buildings, and during any school sponsored function. • Use and/or possession of tobacco or tobacco products will lead to school discipline.

  8. SCHOOL ID • Students are required to wear or carry there ID badges; students will sign in to offices using their ID badge. • Replacement IDs may be purchased in any Assistant Principal’s Office for $5.00. • Temporary IDs will be distributed by the Assistant Principal when needed.

  9. HALL PASSES • Students are required to use hall passes. • Students may not leave their class or be in the halls without their personalized hall pass. • One personalized hall pass per month will be issued. • Replacement hall passes may be purchased in any Assistant Principal’s Office for $2.00.

  10. ELECTRONICS • The use of privately-owned technology by a pupil in the educational setting during the school day must be approved by the supervising teaching staff member. • The teaching staff member may also prohibit the use of privately owned technology for an assignment(s).

  11. ELECTRONICS • Always show respect when using your device. Otherwise, this privilege will be revoked. • “One-bud” policy is always in effect. • Large headphones are prohibited from being worn on campus and will be confiscated! This includes the bus parking lot.

  13. ELECTRONICS • You are responsible for your own electronics! • The school district assumes no responsibility for any privately-owned technology brought to school by a pupil should the item(s) be lost or stolen.

  14. LOCKERS • Locker theft is always a problem! • Do not share lockers. • Do not share your combination. • Buy a gym lock. They can be purchased at the school store. • The school district assumes no responsibility for theft or loss of belongings from lockers.

  15. DRESS CODE • Students will not wear…. • Clothes that expose the shoulders, midriff, or back.

  17. DRESS CODE • Undergarments should be completely covered by student’s pants, skirt, and/or dress.

  18. DRESS CODE • No jackets are to be worn in school

  19. DRESS CODE • Skirts, shorts, dresses must be finger-tip length

  20. DRESS CODE • Students will not wear hats, hoods, or sunglasses in school.
