(AT1:L2/3) To explain the symbolism of the ordination ceremony (AT1:L4/5) To evaluate which events of the ordination ceremony are most symbolic of priesthood. (L5/6)

  2. Working in pairs, number the phrases in order of the Ordination Ceremony. Watch the video to see if you were right • The candidates lies prostrate on the floor. • The Bishop lays his hands over the priest. • The Bishop gives the priest a chalice and paten (small plate with a host on it) • The Bishop calls the candidate by name.The Candidate responds ‘I’m present’. • The candidates take a vow of Chastity and obedience to the Bishop. • The Bishop anoints the hands of the priest
