  1. Highlights 2007: Quality Assurance • Intercalibrations/validations for contract lab changes • Split of some archive tissue samples to new lab (PAH recovery/ND issues) • Water OP pesticide recovery (Switch to d10-diazanon surrogate, same lab to extract and analyze) • Water metals sampling/lab switch • Blanks clean, but new lab might bias high/not low (extraction/preconcentration may affect recovery) • Susan Klosterhaus will work with organics labs • Discussions/comments from labs about revisions to RMP QAPP converging towards SWAMP format and DQOs.

  2. Plans 2008: Quality Assurance • Field QC: continued XAD sampler vs whole water splits • Working with old labs • Axys • PAH (blanks) water extraction, bivalve digestion • OP method adaptation/ switch to multi pesticide method • EBMUD PBDEs- extraction tweaks to reduce variability w/ BDE 209’, new BDEs added • Working with new labs • BRL – understanding apparent recovery bias for TEs
