GOALS • Identify resources, needs, services available from respective BVHP agencies • Quantify data collection through measurables to assess current and future services/needs • Document 2012 resources/offerings to apply for future grants • Assess available CBO offerings and create partnering strategies for joint events and initiatives

Barriers to Sharing Resources Survey Participant Responses • “Conflicting, competing time for space” • “Perception about safety in the community” • “Most agencies are not willing to come to our site” • “Insurance and funding barriers” • “Licensing agency has strict restrictions for usage of space while serving children; vehicle liability “ • “Our Budget in SF is being scaled down dramatically for FY12-FY13.”

Why is BMAGIC collaborative important to you? • “Fosters active collaboration Promotes discussion of community issues, and events Provides support, resources for youth development” • “It is important to pull organizations together because we can all offer something different to the community, support one another and have a stronger voice through unity.” • “Relationship building, collaborating with organization w/ clients and direct service relationships, staying updated on BVHP efforts.” • “Great place to share resource/became informed about events in community Important to come together for a shared vision/goal great to share back to community/families we work with.” • “The BMAGIC collaborative is important to the BVOH because of it's 1) Consistency, 2) Opportunities to be on the agenda via PRESENTATIONS and 3) Community development and networking opportunities.”

  13. What would you like BMAGIC to accomplish for the community and partner organizations? • Help Organization secure funding for Capacity Building, Coaching, Financial Systems, Program Evaluation. Develop an Organization Buddy System. • More training resources, for staff, would love to see BMAGIC work toward creating a safe/community space. For residents to learn about resource offerings/ and drop in times. • Greater knowledge among community members of available resources to support the success of their households. • More opportunities to network & gain trainings for services to LGBTQ youth, AIDS/HIV prevention & healing work, and partnership building.
