  3. Australia Day is January 26th. • They celebrate their first European Settlement.

  4. They dance around and clap sticks together. • They celebrate it in the summer.

  5. Aborigines By: Brenda Moreno and Angie Salgado

  6. Aborigines are natives to Australia and Tasmania.

  7. Aborigines usually lived in the desert.

  8. They formed many different tribes, who spoke around 200 different languages.

  9. The didgeridoo is an instrument similar to a wood trumpet, but shaped like a bassoon. • The Aborigines play the didgeridoo very well.

  11. Kangaroos are one of Australia most famous animals. • The most popular animals are salt water crocodiles.

  12. Wild camels live in Australia. • There are two main owls .The elf and the barn owl.

  21. Ayers rock is named after the Aboriginal. • In 1958 it became a national park and in 1977 it was renamed Uluru. • Uluru, also called Ayers Rock, is one of the largest rocks in the world. • The rock measurers about 3.61 km (2.2 miles) long.

  23. Be aware that in the wet season it will be really wet. • Animals in the great barrier reef are sharks, whales, lobster, dolphins, fish and plankton.

  24. In the great barrier reef there are millions of fish. • The great barrier reef’s temperature changes from really warm to really cold.

  26. The Sydney Opera House is in Sydney. It has a lot of water around it . The Sydney Opera House is a big building where they have shows and concerts.

  27. The Sydney Harbor Bridge joins Milson’s Point to Dawes Point. • It is the world’s greatest arch bridge.

  29. The capital of Tasmania is Hobart.

  30. Some animals you may see in Tasmania are the Tasmania Tiger, Kookaburra and the Tasmanian Devil.

  31. The sports horseback riding and football are popular sports in Tasmania.
