1 Cup of Plot • During the Civil War, Johnny’s Pa gets shot and he wasn’t doing well. They tried to help him by doing all the hard chores he usually does. But nothing worked. Pa told Johnny that he wanted Johnny to promise to him that he wouldn’t fight and that he would take care of the family, and Johnny did promise him that. A day after, Johnny’s sister came rushing down and told everyone that Pa has died. Johnny wanted to get revenge on his Pa.
Another Cup of Plot Johnny breaks his Pa’s promise. He goes out to fight, but not alone. He goes with some people from the city. A lot of his companions died but he was still healthy as ever. Johnny will not stop fighting until he gets revenge for his Pa.
2 Teaspoons of CHARACTER • Johnny – The main character of the story. Goes out to fight for revenge. Characteristic: Brave • Pa – Johnny’s father. Gets shot at Cedar Creek and dies. Characteristic: Strong, Brave • Jeb – One of Johnny’s Companions in the war. Dies from thirst. Characteristic: Respectful • Cush – One of Johnny’s companions. Characteristic: Frustrated with Johnny.
2 Tablespoons of EXCITEMENT • Pa comes home from Cedar Creek all shot up and he rested for a while. Everyone in the family did the chores Pa usually does. But one day, Johnny’s sister comes rushing down the stairs and she said “Pa’s dead!” Johnny promised that fight but he broke his promise and he fought for his Pa.

And finally sprinkle on the Following information… Jebhas died from thirst but they will continue to fight without him. After many deaths and tragedies the war has stopped. They didn’t trust it when they said that it was over. But after a while, they knew it was over.
