Manager 1 favors an approach that focuses on ST patterns such as pennants, flags, gaps, he explains he favors this approach because it reduces the amount of time the client is invested providing a better time weighted return. Manager 2 favors longer term patterns. He commonly looks for patterns on weekly and even monthly charts. He explains to his client that while it may take months or even years for his patterns to materialize, the profit potential is well worth the wait.
