  4. Wild Weather • When you’re in the Sahara you can’t always expect perfect weather. Sometimes it’s really hot or really cold at night, but sometimes you might get tangled in a harmattan. A harmattan is a dry, fast wind bringing loads of sand and dust. If you are in one you will need to cover up. The winds can reach a speed of 100 mph! A harmattan is just like a big sandstorm. A harmattan usually comes in the winter time.

Its just like stepping on a giant beach that stretches 3,475,000 square miles. If you always wanted to ride a camel well the Sahara is home to thousands. And that’s why you should visit the Great Sahara Desert.
