Behavior Expected in the Library • Conduct yourself in a way that contributes to an atmosphere conducive to studying. • Talk quietly at the tables • Only four students to a table • Food and drink are not allowed in the library
Behavior Expected in the Library • Clean up after yourself; put materials on book truck or the circulation desk • Push your chairs in before you leave. • Take your trash w/you.
Behavior Expected in the Library • Students must have a pass from his/her teacher in order to use the library. • Sign the guest book. • No games: computer games, card games, etc. • No electronic doodads (MP3, phones, handheld games • If staff asks you to leave, do so quietly (without argument or disruption…)
Borrowing Materials • Books are checked out for 3 weeks and renewed once. • Periodicals and reference books may not be checked out. • You are responsible for any lost books.

Computer Policy • Computer use is on a first come, first served basis. • Research and school related work is our first priority. • Computer use must be legal, ethical and efficient. • Chat rooms, games, social pages, music are no-nos • No personal printing (printing that is not school related).
Acceptable Use Policy • You must have an Internet User Agreement form on file w/ Mr. Daniels. • Forms are available at the circulation desk. • Visiting inappropriate sites will get your privileges revoked!!!

Fiction Fiction books are arranged in alphabetical order by the first three letters of the author’s last name.
Non fiction 398.4 MAS Non fiction books are arranged numerically using the Dewey Decimal System and alphabetically using the last three letter’s of the author’s last name. FOLK-TALES OF ASBURY PARK

Reference Section • Atlases, almanacs, encyclopedias… • Reference books must remain in the library. • “REF” is on the spine • All Dewey categories 000-999 (non fiction)
