The Oxford African American Studies Center combines the authority of carefully edited reference works with sophisticated technology to create the most comprehensive collection of scholarship in the fieldavailable online. • It contains more than 8,000 articles by top scholars in the field. The core content includes: • Africana • Encyclopedia of African American History, 1619-1895 • Encyclopedia of African American History, 1896 to the Present • Black Women in America, Second Edition • African American National Biography According to Library Journal Best Reference 2006: "There's not enough space to extol this product's virtues sufficiently...Simply remarkable."

  4. The Feature of the Month on the home page is an interesting starting point. From here, you can access relevant subject entries and biographies...

  7. There are links to related content in the left column… You can also use the Look It Up feature to search for any words in the text. …and in the text itself.
