  3. Finished Page Format Selection Title Composer/Lyricist Name • Style - definitions, facts about the style, in sentence format. • Composer Biography - birth date, death date, birth place, family info, honors, awards, etc. • Lyricist Biography - same as above

Finished Page Format - continued • Music Selection Info. - when composed, why or for what purpose, theme or meaning • Historical Event – An American important cultural or political or public event that occurred when the selection was composed or was popular. • Picture - (may appear anywhere on the page) composer/lyricist or topic of the selection

  5. LISTENING QUESTIONS • Does the selection have lyrics? • Is there a story or a theme behind the lyrics? If yes, what is the story or theme? • What expressive words would you use to describe the mood of this selection? • What instrument(s) do you hear? (ex. Voice, full orchestra, trumpet, clarinet, piano, etc.)
