  23. Which Park to Develop Demographics

  24. Millstone Park Waterstone Park Westpoint Park

  25. Millstone Activities

  26. Waterstone Activities

  27. Westpoint Activities Highest Average Response

  28. With the development of the district park potentially 10-15 years away, would you like to see community resources committed to developing the Waterstone Park now? Random Comments Yes - But only for those activities that can be delivered relatively quickly and on budget. Yes - upgrade/add to existing equipment, and increase space into existing woodland. No - Depending on the demographics of the area, is the highest usage of such a park now or 10-15 years in the future? Don't spend now for little usage if we have to pay again in the future Yes - My child will be grown by the time it's finished. 10-15 years is way too long. No - I would like to see a boat launch so all tax payers can use our natural resources No - From our perspective Waterstone Park is under utilized as it is. Yes - in a limited fashion - don not build soccer/ball diamonds etc. But reasonable expansion of existing equipment makes sense.

  29. From a recreational perspective, what would make this community an ideal place to live? Random Comments I like the public access to Webber Lake Walking/Dog/Jogging trails Sidewalks. Speed Enforcement Recreation for everyone. Not limiting the development to a single age group These ideas are great but I very rarely see the current playareas being used. Maybe the need is not as great as the association thinks Linking the parks by bike lanes/walking paths. Create facilities that don't create conflicts with existing uses. Better signage do's/don’ts, tips for use to create Nature & Bike Trails to fit "Green" Approach Minor enhancements to allow for best use of existing space - Connect Millstone-Waterstone walking trail. Encourage inter-connection within neighbourhood More things to do for families

  30. Are there any suggestions on park usage that you DO NOT support? If yes, what are some reasons for this? Random Comments Concerns with non-motor bike and nature trials brings access to private home owner's properties for undesirables as to theft. However for trials 9/10. How to prevent theft? Dog run - cleanliness would be a problem as when walking there is feces on the side of the road Tennis Court as this is individual and would not get use from whole community We as a community spend time and money developing Westpoint Lake access. Yet most if not 90% of usage are not from our Neighbourhood Any activities that increase intensity of lake activities (IE. Public boat launch). There is lake access by residents for residents of Waterstone. We don't need to Horseshoe pit - seems a little silly.

  31. Do you have any additional suggestions or comments? Random Comments Public access to Webber lake is a good idea Millstone Park - Walkway to Waterstone -- Facilities should be considered for young and older children to provide recreation opportunities close to home -- Facilities that we develop/pay for should be targeted for our residents and not worry about other's usage. We should look at Webber Lake access (currently none) it is a calmer lake for canoe/kayak use for kids etc. Operating cots need to be considered (eg. Maintenance costs) One is to assume that we buy and build here to be close to nature in a rural setting. Close to services, safe to raise our children, keeping it reasonably quiet would not be too much to expect. Hopefully the association is considering parks in the new part of the subdivision as well
