  2. Fire Safety Rules • Never work with fire unless a teacher tells you to. • Never play/horse play around fire. • Know where your fire extinguisher is located. • Tie your hair back while around fire. • Avoid wearing loose clothing. • Avoid open flames and using flammable chemicals.

  3. Chemical Safety Rules • Never drink a chemical. • Know what chemicals you are handling. • Wear goggles, an apron , and gloves at all times.

  4. Equipment Safety Rules • Always make sure that you clean up your lab when you are finished. • Do not touch lab equipment until instructed to do so. • Handle lab equipment with care/caution.

  5. Procedure Safety Rules • Always make sure to pay attention to the teacher while she is giving instructions for a lab. • Always read the directions before starting on a lab.

  6. Behavior Safety Rules • Never horse play while in a lab. • Never talk while teacher is talking. • Give the teacher your undivided attention at all times.
