Sage 300 2019 : Installation and Administration Guide Sage 300, in itself, has so many components that you might need to know: Server — ​​It is the system that holds all the programs and data of Sage 300. This workstation actually acts as a server with very small workgroup and provides access of ​Sage 300​​ program and relevant data to other workstations. Database Engine — ​​The Database Engine is used to Update, Retrieve, Create and Delete data with the help of Database. MS SQL Server Database Engine works with Sage 300 only. Workstation — ​​It is a system that connected with the server to gain access over Sage 300 Data and/or Program. These are many points that the workstation has: ● Run Sage 300 Desktop ● Use an Internet browser to connect to the Sage 300. ● Use RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) to connect to the workstation. Sage 300 Program Files covers these following points: ● System Manager in Sage 300. ● Accounting Payable, Receivables and other Accounting Application. Sage 300 Shared Data covers these following points: ● User folder ● Site folder ● Company folder

Now, go to the installation screen, select the “View Pre-installation Checklist.” Here, you need to take a printout of the checklist. Follow these steps to initiate and continue the process: 1. Go to the ​Installation Screen​​ and then click on ​Sage 300 2. Now, select ​Next ​​in the ​Welcome Screen. 3. Now, you will see the ​License Agreement,​​ select it and then click on ​Next. 4. Now, install the software as per the ​Geographical Region and then select Next.

  3. 5. You must be having ​7/10-digit employee ID. To initiate registration, enter the ​Client ID​​ along with the ​Company Name. Now, ​​click on​ Next. 6. Now, enter additional information like ​you’re Dealer, Contact Person and/or Consultant and then click on Next. 7. Now, from the list, click on the ​Sage 300 edition that you want to install. Click on ​Next. 8. Now, specify ​Folder Location,​​ its name and then click on ​Next. 9.
