  13. Responsibilities of President • Reporting Duties • REQUIRED • Annual Report due 1 December • Annual Financial Report due 31 January • Necessary • Officer/Committee Chair roster • Periodic requests

  14. Responsibilities of President • General • Chair executive board and advisory board • Know your chapter governing document and practices • Read communications • Prepare budget in consultation with treasurer • Serve as ex officio member of all committees except nominating

Responsibilities of President • General cont’d. • Recommend to Board actions to improve services to members of chapter • Review all Board documents • Communicate to members via bulletin, web or other communication vehicles • Interview scholarship candidates or delegate to a member • Transfer files

Responsibilities of President-Elect • Serves as a member of the Executive Board • Substitutes for President • Attends meetings (same as for President) • Learn • Recruits Advisory Board members • In some Chapters, the President-Elect has responsibility for program planning; consider appointing a committee • Other duties as assigned
