Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth The parable of His Light is as (if there were) a niche and within it a lamp, the lamp is in glass, the glass as it were a brilliant star, lit from a blessed tree, an olive, neither of the East nor of the West, whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself), though no fire touched it. Light upon Light! Allâh guides to His Light whom He wills And Allah sets forth parables for mankind, and Allah is All-Knower of everything. Quran – 24:35
O mankind, truly We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Truly the most noble of you, in the sight of God, is the most God-conscious. Quran - 49: 13
To each community among you We have prescribed a Law and a way of life. If Allah had so willed He would have made you a single people, but His plan is to test you in what He has given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to Allah; it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which you differ. Quran - 5:48 Omer Ali Seifuddin Mosque, Brunei

For every community (of faith) We have appointed ways of worship, which they aught to observe. It was We who revealed the Torah; therein was guidance and light. We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone slew a person unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land, it would be as if he slew all of humanity: and if anyone saved a life it would be as if he saved the life of all of humanity. Quran - 5:32 Abdul Aziz Mosque, Spain :
We ordained therein for them: "A life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth and equivalence in harm done." But if anyone by way of charity foregoes that retaliation, it is an act of atonement for himself. And if any fail to judge by what God has revealed, they are wrongdoers.
