M|L A SHELEHOFF b i o i do b j e c t s architecture a r tc o n t a c t Chicago Loft Residence; Janet Schirn Design Group With a baby on the way, the client desperately needed to separate, but not to compartmentalize, bedrooms. The solution presented itself in the architecture of the space: consistent with the geometry of the windows, elements of the fireplace and upholstered panels define the spaces, while conserving the openness to the loft. The lighting system conceptualized from the sun rays penetrating the space and shaped itself into a dynamic composition of cables and miniature lights. 2 pages follow

  6. Chicago High-Rise Residence; Janet Schirn Design Group This Springfield-based client needed more than a hotel setting to serve as Chicago base of operation and his secondary residence. The goal was to create a casual yet business-like and sophisticated atmosphere in a 1960s lakefront condo. Solution: an open floor plan highlighted the floor to ceiling windows, while preserving privacy and concealing appliances and equipment with partial walls and mobile casework units. H F D E

Problem: a piece of furniture to house a 47” TV, associated VA components, two record players, AV collection Concept: motion picture frame Solution: a piece of furniture that appears as a large art frame around the TV screen

M|L A SHELEHOFF b i o i do b j e c t s architecture a r tc o n t a c t Suburban Residence; Kiev, Ukraine This corner lot offered excellent views onto a state park, but absolutely no privacy; solution: transom windows on the first floor, and a roof-top patio above the garage to enjoy the vistas. The open floor plan offers multitude of design solution, while the master bedroom suite is secluded, and only reachable via the bridge across the great room space.
