  1. How to change address in Voter ID card: Step by Step Procedure The Voter ID card is one of the most important documents issued by the government. It is also known as an election card issued by the Indian Electoral Commission. It serves as a standard ID, address, and proof of age for other purposes such as applying for a passport. It was first introduced in 1993 during the administration of the Chief Election Commissioner TN Seshan. The Voter ID card allows the holder to participate in the election and elect representatives who will govern the country, make laws, and administering the country, state, or local body. The Constitution of India grants all citizens of India over the age of 18 the right to vote, subject to reasonable limits. For these reasons, it is important to make sure that all the information mentioned on the ID card is updated and correct. Once you have shifted to a new residence, for example, you must renew your voting ID card to reflect your current address. Your name should be added to the election list in the region where you currently reside and should be removed from the list of districts where you previously lived. The Election Commission of India has simplified the process of changing your address on your voting ID card. Instead of making various forms to enter your name, change the address on your voter ID card, and remove your name from your old constituency, you can now do all this with one application form.
