  3. ABOUTUNIVERSITY Davangere University is an affiliating university in Karnataka India. Moreover, the university s just 10 years old. Likewise during its establishment, the jurisdiction of the university was made available to two districts Davangere and Chitradurga. The university has 112 affiliated colleges that jointly educate more than 60K+ students. Furthermore, the university has a Postgraduate center at Chitranguda known as the Jnanagangotri - Post-Graduate Centre. Presently the university is in a growth phase under its Vice-chancellor  Dr. Sharanappa V. Halse. Furthermore, the vision of the University is to list itself in the top 20 universities in India. The vision of the university is nothing short of extraordinary and difficult. With Major league universities already competing with each other. The university has many missions one of which is to provide industry exposure to the students

  4. Campuses The campus of the university is clean hygienic and well maintained. Likewise, the campus occupies an area of 73 acres. Moreover, the campus is free from any kind of pollution, therefore, provides an ambient environment to its inhabitants. The campus is situated at Shiva Gangotri Courses and Programs The university provides courses with a consonance of the UGC guidelines. The technical courses are as per AICTE guidelines as well. Moreover not only does the university provide courses at its own campus but also through its affiliate colleges. Likewise, the courses available are in the field of Science, Social Science and Humanities, Accounting and Commerce, Business and Management Studies, Teaching and education, and a handful of others. Moreover, courses like M.Com, M.Sc, MBA at the UG level and courses like B.COm, BBA, B.Sc, B.A., etc are available at the UG level. Placements The university has a placement cell that invites companies and  HR managers from industries during the placement season. The companies moreover recruit many students from campus. The placement cell also trains and develops students by conducting training activities, GD, and PI sessions. Speaking of stats of the 2020 placement the university did a satisfactory job as MBA students received 2.9 lac as the highest salary, M.Sc stood at 3 Lac, while BBM salary stood at 3.3 lac.

  6. The history Of Devangere University goes far back to 1979 when it functioned as a part of the Mysore University. The university functioned as a post-graduation department of Mysore University. Earlier Mysore university was the major university in all of Karnataka. But slowly the university’s reach and jurisdiction reduced as new universities started popping up. Therefore with the advent of Kuvempu University the affiliation f the Devanagere Post Graduate Centre changed from Mysore university to Kevampu university. The change remained so until 2009 from 1987. In 2009 a need for a university with rural roots but with the capability of excellence was identified in the Post Graduate center and thus the university was established as the post-graduate center Devengere was transformed into Devengere University. Furthermore, the university was established on 18.08.2009 through an amendment Act No. 25 of 1987 of KarnatakaLegislature by amending KSU Act, 2000. Since then the university has improved its capacity by large and is presently doing so. HISTORY

The infrastructure o the college, student to faculty ratio, faculty knowledge base, and foreign and national students ratio. The university according to Edurank sits in 47th position out of 59 universities in Karnataka.

Proper infrastructure coupled with adequate staff and teaching faculty is the o to the requirement for a student. Moreover, quality education and holistic learning are achievable through the ample availability of infrastructure and facilities. Library The library of the university is spacious and has seating space as well. It can sit 100 students at any point in time.  Moreover, the library has a huge collection of Print books and documents. The book collection is near about 30k+. Furthermore, the library has Journals, periodicals, etc available as well. Services like reference, borrowing, e-journal, etc are also available at the library.

  9. Hostel The university has four hostels 2 for boys and 2 for girls. The hostels can accommodate as many as 600 students. The accommodation is on sharing basis. Moreover clean, hygienic, and required furnishing is done of the hostel rooms. Facilities like clean water, internet connectivity is also available at the hostels. Moreover, security is also available at the hostel. Sports The university organizes sports events from time to time. The events are all pre-planned and accordingly, a sports calendar is made available at the beginning of the year. Moreover, facilities like sporting grounds for cricket, football, etc are available a basketball court is also available. Moreover, a running track is also available on the campus. Other Facilities Other facilities like canteen mess and health acre are also available.
