  3. ABOUT UNIVERSITY In the year 1983, N T Rama Rao constructed an educational institution named Sri Padmavati Mahila Vishwavidyalayam. Moreover, this institution was constructed with the objective of empowering women through education. Above all, this institution was established by the then Chief Minister under the Sri Padmavati Mahila Vishwavidyalayam Act of 1983. And this Act came into force on April 14th, 1983. The Sri Padmavati Mahila Vishwavidyalayam is a state university. This institution is recognized by the UGC along with that the approval of the Indian Nursing Council and Bar Council of India; this institution also offers different courses in the respective streams. Hence, this institution is one of the good & reputed universities of India.

  4. This institution is not region-specific; instead, it gives admission to women from all three regions of Andhra Pradesh, such as; Telangana, Rayalaseema & Coastal Andhra. The Sri Padmavati Mahila Vishwavidyalayam has got the ‘A’ grade from the NAAC. And it offers different courses under different UG and PG programs. Additionally, it also provides Btech and MBA courses.

  6. HISTORY Moreover, Sri Padmavati Mahila Vishwavidyalayam is a University for women, and this institution was constructed by Sri N.T.Rama Rao. Most importantly, he builds this university with an objective to train women students with leadership skills and techniques which will help them in building their life and nation in total. Initially, the university started functioning with only ten faculty members and 300 students, and other 25 staff. However, now it has approximately 4000 students, 105 academic staff, and 131 academic consultants. Currently, it has 59 courses at UG and PG level and few good research programs.

However, the rooms are very small but due to the good environment, it becomes easier for inmates to stay.

Few other facilities are available at this institution, such as gym, cafeteria, shuttle service, auditorium, convenience store, post office, bank, yoga & physical training center, and many more.

Undergraduate: This institution offers various undergraduate courses such as BA, Btech, LLB, BA- LLB, BSc, BSc in Nursing, B.Pharma, and many more. However, the minimum eligibility requirement for these courses is the candidate has passed the 10+2 annual exam with good grades. Additionally, for few courses, the aspirants need to qualify for the entrance test to get admission. These courses, however, have a duration of three years, unlike professional bachelor’s degrees for four years.
