  1. About SriLankan Airlines The largest airline in Sri Lanka in terms of aircraft and connected destinations is SriLankan Airlines, the nation's flag carrier. After the closure of Sri Lanka's first flag carrier, Air Ceylon, it was established in 1979. The airline's main hub is in Colombo's Bandaranaike International Airport, from which it has good connectivity to a network of 109 destinations across 48 nations. Major cities in South Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and South East Asia are covered. The Sri Lankan Airline fleet consists of 26 new Airbus models, including the long-haul A330- 300 and the medium-haul 320/A321 models.
