Paraphilia (DSM-IV definition) • Mental disorder • Recurrent intense sexual urges, sexually arousing fantasies, or behaviors • Lasting at least 6 months • Involving a)nonhuman objects, b) suffering or humiliation of oneself or one’s partner c)children or other nonconsenting people • Person has acted upon the urges or is markedly distressed by them
