  1. Are you embarrassed by crooked teeth? One of the things we get asked about most often is crooked teeth. Thanks to movies and television there was always a rather unfavourable impression given of braces and I’m sure most of us can remember the association of metal braces with the ‘uncool’ character. Suffice to say Orthodontic treatment (which is used to treat misplaced/crooked teeth) has come a long way. However the historic legacy of negativity surrounding braces has left a great number of adults with a smile which they are embarrassed to show. There is an assumption with many adults that if their smile hasn’t been corrected by the time their career is underway then it’s too late. The common misconception being that nobody can turn up to meet a client or attend a meeting in their 30’s and upwards with highly noticeable braces. Well, we’re here to dispel these myths. There are a great number of options nowadays which all have discretion as their core feature. Perhaps the most familiar name to you will be Invisalign as they have very effectively built a customer facing brand. These aligners are plastic and virtually invisible to the naked eye which means no need to feel self-conscious. As they are removable it also means you can brush and floss your teeth as normal. Invisalign is just one of a number of options we offer at London Holistic Dental Centre and the commonality in modern treatments to straighten your teeth is that they take less time than treatments would have in the past, they require fewer extractions and they are more comfortable and discreet. So if you have been putting up with a smile which you are embarrassed to flash because of overcrowded or misaligned teeth please ask us at your next appointment to discuss the range of options we have available. Our goal is always to make you smile with confidence.
