Welcome to Science and Technology in the Making (STIM) The Science and Technology in the Making Web sites use an innovative approach to investigating and documenting recent/contemporary events in science and technology. We are all interested in using of the interactive capabilities of the internet to gather survey information and personal histories, encourage dialogue between the makers of history, and provide an (inter)-active archive about the technologies these makers have created. Since the major players in our projects are still alive and continue, in many cases, to be active, their stories, their experiences, point of view, and contributions will be an essential part of the history presented on the web sites. Thus, the traditionally more or less silent subjects of a historical study become personally involved, contributing participants and partners in the writing of the history of their community.
