The first University Staff Support Group in the United States. • Membership in the University Staff Club is open to all -- staff administration, faculty, students, alumni, friends and family -- anyone who would like to help us achieve our objectives. • The University Staff Club, founded in 1977 by staff members, provides contributions of dollars, knowledge, and enthusiasm to USC. The Club's particular interest is to enhance the role of the staff in support of the University of Southern California’s teaching, research, and cultural enrichment.

  3. Introduction from the Founding President Len Wines • “When we the University Staff Club was created in the early 1970s, there was nothing like it in all of American higher education. USC staff club was the first, and may still be the only such group: Staff members who contribute their dollars to their university in support of fellow staff members in a variety of ways.” • “We must have done the right thing because we've grown and we've flourished. Our achievements are many, and they are manifest. Join with us and see for yourself.” Len Wines, Founding President and Life member

USC Staff Club • The staff of the University of Southern California is a group of over 7,000 individuals whose highly capable efforts give essential support to USC’s educational purposes. • There would be no University Staff Club without the 500 individuals who support the goals and activities of this very important organization that has made an impact on the quality of life at USC. • From this continued support, our endowment has grown to well over $120,000.

  5. How does the Staff Club support USC? Members decide which areas of the USC community interest them and most deserve their assistance. The Staff Club has shown ongoing support for: • Staff Service Recognition Program • Staff Member of the Month Award • University Staff Club Staff Person of the Year Award • Staff Club Annual Dinner • Staff Club Graduate Student Scholarship • Scholarship Application Form • Staff and Student Emergency Loan Fund • USC Disabled Athletes Scholarship Fund • Fall and Spring Socials • Annual Holiday Party • Weekend Bus Tours to Las Vegas & Laughlin • Staff Club Projects to support special University needs based on applications from staff, faculty, or students

  6. Benefits Membership in the University Staff Club will offer you many delightful hours of social pleasure during the year. You will be able to develop closer ties of friendship with many of your co-workers in all branches of the University. • DON'T FORGET: Your Staff Club membership dues are deductible from both Federal and State income taxes to the limit of the law. Membership Drive Sept 1-November 30 Membership Regular Membership………………………………. $100 Annually ($8.33/month – for exempt staff) Regular Membership………………………………. $50 Annually ($4.16/month – for non-exempt staff) Life Membership .…………………………………. $1,000 (One Time Gift) Endowed Membership…………………………... $150 Annually ($12.50/month) (Endowed membership contributes $4.16/month to the Endowment Account. The interest earned pays for graduate student scholarships.)
