  3. Multimedia • Interactivity allows the user to choose the information to view, to control the pace and flow of information • Pages are linked by buttons. Plan, design, are steps in developing multimedia presentations.

  6. Movie • This is one way multimedia is used • Media including video, music, voice, graphics, and text into one presentation.

Desktop Publishing • These programs allow you to mix text and graphics to create professional applications. • Professional graphic artists use desktop publishing programs to create brochures, newsletters, newspapers, and textbooks. • Popular programs: adobe Pagemaker, Microsoft Publisher, and Quark X Press. • Graphic artists use other sources: word processors, digitial cameras, scanners, image editors, and image galleries.

  9. Audio and Video • Video Editing Software: allows you to assemble and edit new videos and movies using video footage. • Programs: imovie, windows movie makcer • Audio editing Software: let you create and edit audio clips.Adding effects. • Programs: SonicFoundry’s ACID Music.

  10. Links and Buttons • Links connect to related information. The links can be video, sound, graphics, and text files. • Buttons allow you to link and navigate through a presentation to locate and discover information.

  11. Developing Multimedia Presentations • Plan: Determine what you will be doing. What will be your topic. Which type of media will you be using. Outline the structure of your presentation • Design: Create a story board for the project. You put your ideas on cards. It consists of a series of rectangles, representing a single page in the presentation. • Create: Using a authoring program to create your multimedia presentation. • Suppport: solve any errors or problems you have with your presentation.
