    The steam-driven car produced by Mr.N.Cugnot (France) in 1770 is recognized as first automobile in the world. The first car driven by a gasoline-engine was produced by Dr.g.Dimler and Dr.K.Benz in 1885. The automobile was invented in Europe and it's remarkable development was started in America since 1900's.

    Idea is same as those on planes. The box captures what went wrong in an accident. Records 10 sec of data. Carries information on: Speed at impact How long the breaks were applied How many times the car was hit

    Currently being used by GM. Uses “Telematics” to help emergency dispatchers understand the nature of an accident.
