  2. What do you mean by statistics? Statistics is a mathematical science pertaining to the collection, analysis, interpretation or explanation, and presentation of data. Statistics also provides tools for prediction and forecasting using data and statistical models.

If we see a few numbers, statistics, calculations, or numerical data, study of statistics puts them into context. It teaches basic hypothesis testing, inferences, descriptions, and summaries of data. The organization of information is accounting. The summaries and analyses to write about the data, and inform decision making works various accounts. The difference is it does not account dollars and items, rather units from various domains. These include scientific domains, engineering domains, or business domains.
