One of the popular and most purchased luxury car brands in the country is- Mercedes Benz. Mercedes-Benz a global automobile company and is a part of the German company Daimler AG. The brand is famous for luxury vehicles, buses, coaches and lorries. The company’s headquarters is situated in Stuttgart, Baden –Wurttemberg. Its origin can be traced to Karl Benz’s conception of the very first petrol automobile car- known as the Benz Patent Motorwagen in 1886 and Wilhelm Maybach’s transformation of a stagecoach in which he installed a petrol engine in the same year. The tagline of the company is- “the best or nothing”. Mercedes-Benz cars are differentiated into alphabetical categories depending on its price. The various classes are- •C-indicating a coupe or cabriolet •D indicates the vehicle is equipped with a diesel engine. •E indicates the vehicle’s engine has the petrol-fuel injection. •G indicate Mercedes SUVs. •L indicates “Leicht” for sports models and “lang” for sedans. •S indicates Sonderklasse “Special Class” for flagship models. •T indicates “Touring” and an estate body style.
Mercedes Benz was launched in 1994, in India, as part of the German Daimler AG with its headquarters in Pune, Maharashtra. It is one of the fastest growing green-field CKD (Completely Knocked Down) plant in India. Mercedes Benz India has created a brand around itself through many consumer-centric events. It has the widest luxury car network with 83 outlets in 40 cities. Most outlets for Mercedes Benz Cars in Delhi include numerous showrooms and dealer shops. Moreover, it has launched the pre-owned car segments with “Mercedes Benz Certified” shops in December in 2014. It inaugurated 12 new Mercedes Benz Certified Car outlets across India. Currently, there are 17 variants of Mercedes-Benz in India. The prices for Mercedes-Benz in Delhi vary greatly, depending on the model you are buying. The lowest price for a Mercedes-Benz model is the A-Class at 29.9 lakh, while the highest price model is the S-Class Cabriolet at 2.35 crore. With the recent announcement of the 2018 Budget, the price of CKD (Completely Knocked Down) models of Mercedes-Benz is set to increase with an increase in taxes. Mercedes Benz also launched Mobilo, a unique and convenient 24*7 customer service assistance. It is an on-road assistance program to support Mercedes-Benz customers in the event of a mishap, breakdown, accident or vandalism. Mercedes-Benz dealers across Delhi offer numerous services and finances to make the process of owning a Mercedes more transparent and hassle-free.
