Our Studies Centre, was established in 1980, but it was in 2001 when we prepared the project to offer to all foreign visitors the opportunity to not only learn Spanish, but also to understand and experience the Canarian culture. Our principles are: to help the promotion of our language and culture, in ideal surroundings for development in which there is emphasis on the use of last technologies together with a continuous contact between teacher and student. 25 years of experience in professional teaching is our guarantee. More than 8,000 students have been trained in the matters related with the world of business. Our courses adapt to the necessities of the business market. The diplomas of the Education Centre ITU VENHER are recognised by the companies and have already opened the doors for thousands of students. These are some of the prestigious institutions that collaborate or have collaborated with the Education Centre “I.T.U. Granadilla is a kind of Valley, that is formed by three mountains called la Santa, Cogeja and Buenavista, its climate is enjoyable with an average temperature of 22ºC. Granadilla is an interesting point to visit, with her antique, long streets. The principal economic activity has been the agriculture, producing cereals, fruits and vegetables (specially oranges) and, most of all , potatoes. And in the last decade tourism. It is also important to mention that the Reina Sofia airport is situated in Granadilla. It presents a great coast, with wonderful beaches and lovely hotels. Montaña de Guajara with 2.718 mts. of height, in its limit with La Orotava. The Natural Park of the Corona Forestal its the highest point of Granadilla. An area of high geomorphologic, botanic and faunistic interest. Includes singular sites like Paisaje Lunar. In the coast there are places like Montaña Roja and Montaña Pelada. The first of these, is volcanic cone, which is situated in El Médano and La Tejita beaches.

The Spanish courses ITU VENHER, can be done anytime in the year, since our Centre is open all year round. Our method is based on acquiring the linguistic capacity and practise in the language. In the practise we deal with social – cultural aspect of the Canarian life. The courses are 25 or 30 lessons per week. Therefore, you can decide for one of the following courses: General Spanish: Basic Spanish Course: 25 lessons p/week Intermediate Spanish Course: 25 lessons p/week Advanced Spanish Course: 25 lessons p/week Intensive Spanish Course: 30 lessons p/week Individual Lessons: You decide how many lessons. ITU VENHER welcome students world wide (over 15 years old), teenagers, university students, adults, executives & professional and seniors (+ 50 years old).

Slide 14:ACTIVITIES:

SPORTS: Tenerife is the ideal place for all kinds of water sports, from fishing with a rod or deep-sea fishing to windsurfing – major international competitions are held in the area of El Medano – and the full range of water sports, al of which can be enjoyed all year round: sailing, diving, surfing, water skiing, etc. ACTIVITIES: In Tenerife we can make varied activities, outdoors, or in the multiple parks and attractions that the island has. This way, we will know history, the nature and the culture of the place, of an amused form.

Slide 15:CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

Tenerife has an ample range of cultural activities, related to the art, music and the spectacle. These activities are developed in infrastructures of last generation, like for example the Auditorium of Tenerife. On the musical front, every year, there is an opera season and a "zarzuela" - light opera - season, plus a musical event of the first order, the Canary Island Music Festival. CELEBRATIONS: In the different towns and municipalities from the island, celebrations throughout the year are made, that count on the participation, as much of local people, like of visitors, since several of them, are declared of cultural interest.
