    3. Good Morning First Graders! Welcome to your first day of school as a First Grader!!! I hope you all had a terrific summer break!

    4. A Little About Your Teacher… My name is Miss Downs, or you may call me Miss D. This is my first year teaching first graders! Last year I taught second graders. So I am very excited to be your first grade teacher this year!

    5. About Miss Downs… I was born in South Amboy, New Jersey and raised in Sayreville, New Jersey. I have lived in Holmdel, New Jersey for the past 12 years, but now I split my time between Holmdel and Garfield, NJ.

    6. Some Things Miss Downs Likes to Do… I love to go to the beach in the summer! I like to play softball and field hockey. I also like to dance. And of course I love to READ!!!

    11. More of My Favorite People… I do not have any children of my own yet, but I have a handsome Godson named Matthew… …isn’t he cute?
