CONNECTIVITY di UNHAS • Kemarin: • SISDIKSAT: • s/d 1995: 1200 bps via sisdik.pdk.go.id, SCPC Analog ke lokasi-lokasi SISDIKSAT • s/d 1998: 14,400 bps via IptekNet, SCPC Analog ke lokasi-lokasi SISDIKSAT • sejak 1998: VSAT 64 kbps, hotline dial-up dari lokasi-lokasi SISDIKSAT (UNM, STKIP-G, IKIP Tondano........... ) FULL GRATIS incl. INVESTASI

CONNECTIVITY di UNHAS • Kemarin (lanjutan): • Kampus UNHAS: • yang punya telepon berlangganan ke ISP (Idola, Wasantara, MegaNet, IndosatNet) • (sejak 1998) via PABX ke SISDIKSAT, WinGate di unit-unit + LAN • pasang kabel ke PKP, terus lanjut ke Rektorat • Coba WinGate Server, kabel tanah ke PKP terus ke Rektorat • Sygate Server (UPT Komputer), beberapa LAN ditumbuhkan, menunggu LAN UNHAS OK

CONNECTIVITY di UNHAS • Saat ini: • Link SISDIKSAT-IptekNet, 64 kbps, OK • Hot-line dial-up dari STKIP-G, UNM, IKIP-Tondano, OK • Sygate Server ke Rektorat via Gedung PKP (?) • Dial-in dari Kampus via PABX (PABX-nya rusak), temporary solution • (Experimental) Radio VHF link, pak Tahir UKI-Paulus

CONNECTIVITY di UNHAS • Rekomendasi untuk masa depan: • Link via IptekNet/BPPT 64 kbps dipertahankan gratis, ........ bayar dengan “content” • Kalau ada alternatif lain, dan UNHAS mau bayar, .......... kenapa tidak? • INTRANET UNHAS harus terus dibangun (referensi: Tugas Akhir Ali Arifin/ Syaiful Naki) • Pengembangan CONTENT .......

CONTENT di UNHAS(keadaan saat ini) • Warnet KOPMA yang selalu penuh • Civitas-academica yang berlangganan ISP • Mailing-list unhas-ml yang “hidup” • Official Homepage yang ......... masih stagnasi - http://www.unhas.ac.id/ • Dosen yang mulai memanfaatkan Internet untuk proses belajar-mengajar

CONTENT di UNHAS • Rekomendasi untuk masa depan: • Civitas Academica harus mendapatkan basic Internet service on Campus for FREE • Official Homepage UNHAS ......... lanjut! • Sistem Informasi IPTEKS yang terpadu, accessible via Internet dan Intranet: • Library on-line • On-line academic administration • Research & Development on-line • Classes on-line
