  1. Mount Carmel College About: Established in 1948, Mount Carmel College (MCC) is a premier institution of women’s education in India. Initially affiliated with Mysore University, the college was not affiliated with Bangalore University in 1964. The autonomy status of the college was granted in September 2005 and the college was selected by the UGC under the scheme, College with Potential for Excellence (CPE) in 2006.
