Parts of a Label 10.Directions for use “It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling” Use directions and instructions are NOT ADVICE they areREQUIREMENTS It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Do not apply this product in a way that will contact workers or other persons either directly or through drift.

  28. 11.Agricultural Use Requirements WPS does NOT cover pesticides applied in several situations. Examples include: Right-of-ways Pastures, rangelands or livestock Mosquito abatement Research uses of unregistered pesticides Section also states the amount of time that must pass before workers are allowed to re-enter treated areas. Also know as Restricted Entry Interval or REI

  29. Use this product only in accordance with its labeling and with the Worker Protection Standard, 40 CFR Part 170. This standard contains requirements for he protection of agricultural workers on farms… • Do not enter or allow worker entry intro treated areas during restricted entry interval ( REI ) of 12 hours after application. • PPE required for early entry to treated area is coveralls, Waterproof gloves and shoes plus socks.

  30. Parts of a Label 11.Agricultural Use Requirements Worker Protection Standards (WPS) protect employees on farms and in forests, nurseries and greenhouses form exposure to both general and restricted use pesticides. Applicable when pesticide is used to produce an agricultural commodity.

  32. Pesticide Storage Do not contaminate water, food, feed or fertilizer… Pesticide Disposal Wastes resulting from the use of this product may be disposed of on site or at an approved waste disposal facility. Triple rinse all containers and dispose of according to local regulations

Parts of a Label 13.General Use Instructions (The GUTS of the label) Section statesthe pests that the manufacturer claims the product will control, the crop, animal, or site the product is intended to protect, when, where, how and in what form the product should be applied, the proper equipment to be used, the correct dosage, mixing directions, compatibility with other often used products, and the minimum time between applications. Maximum Use Rates Non-Cropland Areas: Total use of Tordon 22K , including retreatments or spot treatments, must not exceed 2 quarts per acre per annual growing season.
